Our Team

Judith Ragsdale, DDS, MSD

I have been growing great smiles in The Woodlands since 1986. I completed my dental degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center Dental Branch at Houston in 1984 and received my certificate in pediatric dentistry from Baylor College of Dentistry in 1986 where I also received a Master of Science in Dentistry. During this two-year specialty training program, I learned all about the special dental needs of children. The curriculum included training in growth and development, child psychology, behavior management, dentistry for the special needs patient, sedation/general anesthesia and pediatric trauma. I'm an active member in good standing of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, The Texas Dental Association, and the Greater Houston Dental Society.

I achieved Diplomate Status from the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry in 1993. I actively participate in continuing education courses. The most recently completed was the annual session of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry in Boston, Massachusetts where I concentrated my CE hours on course related to Pediatric Sedation.

My husband, Arlin Maddox and I live in The Woodlands. I participate in many church and volunteer activities. I love my home and enjoy entertaining my family and friends. I have a passion for the game of golf and love my time with my "golfing gals." I enjoy working out, reading, Ladies Bible Study, my neighborhood Bunco group, needle work, arts and crafts, and spending time with my husband, family and friends and our two cats, BeBe and CoCo!

I grew up in Tarkington, a small country town and graduated from Tarkington High School. I attended Kingwood Community College. I now reside in Shepherd, Texas with my husband of 28 years, Kevin and our two children and four dogs. I have been in dentistry for 20 years as a chair side assistant. The past 6 years I have had the privilege of working in pediatric dentistry with Dr. Ragsdale.. Recently I became the office manager where I am learning the business side of dentistry. I find it challenging and rewarding. I have always enjoyed working in dentistry and taking care of patients' needs. I enjoy going to the beach and spending time with my family.

Jeflyn Brocato
Patient Coordinator

I grew up in The Woodlands area and attended college at Sam Houston State University in Huntsville. I have worked in dentistry for 30 years and have spent the last 10 wonderful years with Dr. Ragsdale. My husband Mike and I live in The Woodlands with our daughter Kayla who will be a senior this year (empty nest knocking at my door). I also have three grown children (Jarrod, Jeff and Jayci) who have blessed me with four awesome grandchildren (Lauryn, Chandler, Jenna and Makenli). I enjoy being active with my church and playing with my 106 lb. Lab, Flynn, which fortunately has replaced my need for a gym workout!

It has been such a great JOY to be a part of your family and watch your children grow. I am looking forward to many more families coming into our dental home and listening to stories from first days of school, driving permits, to college choices. What a WONDERFUL job that I have! I hope that I can answer any questions that you may have about our practice and that you will enjoy being here as much as I do.

I was raised in California and moved to Texas in 2009. I've been in the medical field for over two years and joined Dr. Ragsdale's team in 2014. I enjoy relaxing, reading, shopping and being with my boyfriend.

Kimberly McKeon
Treatment Coordinator

I was born and raised in California and just recently relocated from Rhode Island. I have been working in the dental field for over 30 years. I started my dental career working as a claims examiner for a dental insurance company and soon realized that I preferred helping people with their dental needs in the dental office. I love volunteering: from being a Girl Scout leader for over 8 years to helping with the Mission of Mercy Dental Clinic in RI. I have four children, three step-children, and 2 dogs. I live just north of The Woodlands with my husband Paul. We have 3 children in college and our youngest is a senior at Montgomery High. I love spending time with my family, working out, hiking and exploring Texas. I just recently became a Notary Public so I can help the needs of patients in our dental office.

Hygienists

Two full-time registered hygienists are available to help with your children's periodic dental care visits. All of our dental hygienists are licensed by the state of Texas and maintain compliance with the rules and regulations of the Texas State Board of Dental Examiners. Our hygienists have completed a two-year intensive training program offered within our state. They have completed special training in sealant application and have been awarded special certification to be able to perform this procedure. Each of our hygienists completes 12 hours of continuing education yearly, as required to maintain their license. In addition, our hygienists have had years of experience working in pediatric dental practices, so they are extremely qualified to help take care of our patients' dental care needs.

Beth Ann Nichols
Registered Dental Hygienist

I was born in Dublin, Texas and grew up in Corpus Christi, Texas. I graduated from Conroe High School and then attended the University of Texas before going to Wharton County Junior College for my degree in dental hygiene. I live in Conroe with my husband Anthony. We have six children and have been blessed with five grandchildren. I love antiquing and spend a lot of time in my "craft barn."

I have always loved children so pediatric dentistry is perfect for me! My goal is to make going to the dentist a positive experience for our patients, one that will continue for the rest of their lives!

Dental Assistants

Nancy Copley
Certified Dental Assistant

I live in Shepherd, TX. I have been a dental assistant for over 25 years, and I have worked for Dr. Ragsdale for the last 10. My favorite thing about my job is the kids. I love helping the kids overcome their fear of the dentist, and I enjoy teaching them about their overall dental health.

In my free time I enjoy cross-stitching, stamping and attending my stamping up club meetings. I also enjoy spending time at home with my husband, daughter, and dog, Little Big (LB). I also volunteer with the children's department at our church. Children are truly a blessing from God!

I currently hold state certification for Dental Assistants and also by the National Board (DANB).

I am very thankful for the opportunity to work with your children along side Dr. Ragsdale.
